Welcome to The Beginner Collector!

We're Andrew and Lauren, a husband-and-wife team from Oklahoma with a lifelong love for trading card games and collecting.

TCGs have been a part of our lives since childhood. Like a lot of collectors, we remember the excitement of opening packs, finding cards we loved, trading with friends, and slowly building collections of our own. That love for the hobby never really went away.

In 2026, Andrew found himself at a crossroads after losing his job and struggling to figure out what came next. Instead of simply looking for another job, we decided to take a chance on something we'd always dreamed about: building a business around something we genuinely love.

We started small, selling cards online and sharing our passion for collecting. What began as a leap of faith quickly grew into something much bigger. Along the way, we've met amazing collectors, made new friends, and discovered just how much we love being a part of the trading card community.

Today, The Beginner Collector is our home.

We're building a store that isn't just about buying and selling cards. We want to create a place where collectors of all kinds can feel welcome — whether you're brand new to the hobby or you've been collecting for decades.

Our goal is simple:

Make collecting fun, affordable, and welcoming for everyone.

Whether you're buying your very first Pokémon card, completing a childhood collection, searching for a card you've been chasing for years, or simply enjoying the hobby, we're glad you're here.

We're proud to be an Oklahoma-based small business, and we ship cards and products to collectors across the country.

We're still growing, still learning, and still figuring things out as we go. But that's part of the fun. We're building this one card, one order, and one collector at a time.
